Born from a tiny Brooklyn Deli

Opened in January 2010 in a tiny storefront amidst the brownstones of  Boerum Hill Brooklyn, the original location of Mile End Delicatessen continues to be a neighborhood hub serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  From smoked meat hash in the morning to an afternoon bite of a fried salami sandwich and chicken soup, the Delicatessen satisfies a hunger for Jewish comfort food.  In the evening the menu shifts towards rustic Jewish home cooking with specials like pickled lamb’s tongue with onion raisin marmalade and smoked chicken with rye gnocchi paired with craft beer and natural wines.

The newly opened Sandwich Shop in NoHo brings highlights from our Brooklyn deli menu to downtown Manhattan with breakfast on offer through the late afternoon and over a dozen sandwiches to choose from.  Our classic sandwiches are complemented by a small batch soda fountain, rotating seasonal salads and vegetables and the ever popular poutine.

Delivery is available within the immediate vicinity of both locations and takeout orders can be placed by phone.  All credit cards are accepted, but we do not accept reservations.

Outside of our brick and mortar locations we can be found carving smoked meat and pushing pickles around town at markets and festivals.  With a weekly presence at Williamsburg’s Smorgasbord and Brooklyn Flea plus Central Park’s Summerstage and DUMBO’s Under the Archway we’re continually popping up at your favorite mobile food outpost.  Check back regularly for a schedule of concerts and gatherings at which you can find your favorite Mile End foods.

We look forward to hosting you soon!
